The Open Top Diked Generator Base Tank is a single wall constructed tank secured in a dike (or rupture basin), and the rails of the dike have been designed to support the weight of the generator set. Each gusseted bolt hole on the dike has been designed and tested to support up to 4000 lbs. If this tank is UL Listed, it will include an emergency vent connection on the inner tank. This connection can be fitted with an optional back pressure relief valve set at 8 oz. A tank which is to meet NFPA-30 of the National Fire Protection Association requires that the tank be built to "Recognized Standards of Design&. E&CA has elected to use UL-142, 1995 as its standard. |
